Maintenance Agreement
The AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement is designed to keep your copies of
the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set up-to-date. AIMSS is a sophisticated software program that is constantly being
reviewed for improvements and corrections. In addition, feedback from our user community often suggests changes
to the AIMSS product. Periodically, these improvements, corrections, and changes are incorporated into an updated
version of the AIMSS product.
With each copy of the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement (Product Number: IETMMA-4X),
you will receive the following:
- Software updates to the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set (V4.X)
- Software updates to the AIMSS Runtime viewer (V4.X)
- Documentation updates
- Periodic AIMSS newsletters
- Ten hours of call-in technical support
With a purchase of the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set, you automatically receive all updates,
upgrades, and revisions to the software and documentation for 3 months from the purchase date. After this
three-month period, software and documentation updates are available only through the AIMSS Authoring Tool
Set Maintenance Agreement.
The AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement is good for 12 months from the expiration
date of the three-month period discussed in the preceding paragraph.
The AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement must be purchased in the same quantity as
the AIMSS Authoring Tool Sets.
For the AIMSS Product Line, revisions and updates include performance improvements, error
corrections, compatibility changes, and minor enhancements. Revisions and updates are identified by a change to
the second or third digit in the version number; for example, AIMSS Authoring Tool Set (V4.5) or AIMSS Authoring
Tool Set (V4.6). These revisions and updates are included in the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement.
For the AIMSS Product Line, upgrades represent major changes to the AIMSS product and include
major enhancements and expanded features. Upgrades are identified by a change to the first digit in the version
number; for example, AIMSS Authoring Tool Set (V4.0) or AIMSS Authoring Tool Set (V5.0). Upgrades are not included
in the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement. However, they are offered at substantial discounts to
registered owners of the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set. Purchasers of the AIMSS Authoring Tool Set Maintenance Agreement
receive even greater discounts.
